The COVID-19 pandemic has definitely been an experience that we would all like to be over. Most people are tired of being quarantined at this point and want to go back to their normal lives. However, when the quarantine ends is out of our control. Right now, all we can do is try and make the most of it. Here are some of the ways we can all take advantage of this strange, strange time and try to focus on the positive:

Spend time with your family: Being stuck inside for weeks on end with your family could sound like a nightmare for some people, but this is an opportunity to bond with your loved ones. There are all sorts of family activities that you now have the time to do. For example, you could do a family board game night, go for a walk, do arts and crafts, and so many other things that could serve as family bonding experiences.

Tan: During quarantine, there have been an endless amount of Snapchat stories about people tanning. It has been pretty sunny and nice out recently, so if you are interested in that sort of thing, it’s pretty easy to find a spot to get a nice tan and relax.

Develop/expand on a hobby: Quarantine is such a great opportunity to get into a new activity or hobby that you might not have done otherwise. There are endless options, so do a Google search and look at potential options.

Movie Marathon: Watching a ton of movies repeatedly is incredibly time consuming. You might not have been able to find time for this in your normal schedule, but now, you’ve got all the time in the world! Sit down, get comfy, get some popcorn, and watch a great movie to cure some boredom.

Sleep: Catching up on sleep can improve your mood and mental health. There’s no reason to not get a ton of sleep because school starts later and there aren’t any extracurricular activities to worry about. Also, a nap can be super refreshing if you don’t have anything else to do!

Just because life has turned on its head in such a major way does not mean that we have to feel down and sad about it all the time. We’re going to get through this! We might as well try to enjoy our isolated lives and maybe try and self-improve a little before everything goes back to normal.
