The Annandale Atoms took the journey to Meridian, Sep 12, just to face defeat on the Mustang’s home soil. Led by their strong offense, the ‘Stangs dominated from start to finish, leaning on seniors Oumar Thompson, Duke Dawson, and Alex Jacobson. Thompson in particular recorded two touchdowns on top of his 160 rushing yards. The Atoms were unable to successfully shut down the Mustangs’ offense, or create any momentum of their own. The next away game for Mustang football will be at Millbrook on Sep 19, and the next home game will be the Homecoming game on Sep 26 against Fauquier High School.
