Fall has finally arrived, which means sweater weather, leaf raking, and holiday-themed fun. In The Little City, there are many events to get involved in throughout the next three months. Here’s three of them that are guaranteed to get you into the fall spirit!
Murder at the Manor
When: Friday, October 28, 8 p.m to 10 p.m

Falls Church’s Cherry Hill Farmhouse will be hosting a haunted house on Friday, October 28th. Participants will get to experience Victorian storytelling and interact with characters to simulate a murder mystery. Get your seat fast – tickets are in high demand!
2016 Annual Turkey Trot
When: Thursday, November 24; race starts at 8 a.m
Where: Christ Church of Arlington
Cost: Adults– $40, Children (age 6-17)– $25

Get a good workout in before devouring a huge Thanksgiving dinner at this popular 5k race benefitting local charities such as the Arlington Food Assistance center. Although not in Falls Church, it’s for a great cause, and it’s not too far either. This is the Turkey Trot’s 11th year, with the past year raising over $100,000 for beneficiaries. Come out and burn some calories before you gain them back at the top charity race in the area!
Holiday Gift and Craft Show
When: December 3, 9 a.m to 4 p.m; December 4th– 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Falls Church Community Center, 1st and 2nd floors

Buy handmade, interesting gifts for everyone on your Christmas list at the FC Holiday Craft Show. Over fifty vendors and local crafters will be selling items such as jewelry, clothing, textiles, mixed media art, and baked goods. The show will also feature a magician and a kids’ holiday shop at Cherry Hill Farmhouse, so make sure to bring younger siblings. Get family and friends something unique this year (instead of the same old fuzzy socks) at this fun holiday event!
