“Cult of Chucky” is a frightening and borderline parody of the other Chucky movies. A group of poor folk are locked in a mental hospital with Chucky, and the chaos begins. This remake promises self-aware humor and scarring scenes that will leave a mark on the viewer.

Director Adam Robitel is taking on the fourth installment of the Insidious franchise scripted by Leigh Whannell. This film will bring back the paranormal investigator Dr. Elise Rainier, who will be investigating a haunting of her own family.
7. The Nun

New Line and Warner Bros. are working on a third film for the Conjuring franchise. The film addresses and explores the origin of the nun that terrified Lorraine Warren in the Conjuring 2.

5. Jigsaw

The sadistic and brutal Saw franchise is returning to theatres in 2017. Directors Michael and Peter Spierig appear to be taking a comedic outlook on the film franchise, resulting in a unique creative push that will help the Saw regain its place amongst its classic horror series contemporaries.

Director of Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse, Christopher Landon creates a creative and original film that details the day that a student dies. This college student keeps reliving her death day, which also happens to be her birthday, until she is able to find out who her killer is.
3. The Purge 4

The director of all three Purge films, James Demonaco, is passing the film over to Gerald McMurray. The film details an experimental night of the Purge where all crime is once again legal but this time it is set on Staten Island. This film has much to live up to based on the success of the previous three films and should leave the audiences thoroughly spooked (and probably disgusted).
2. Strangers 2
Release Date: TBD in 2018
Cast: Christina Hendricks, Bailee Madison, Martin Henderson, Lewis Pullman
The film is directed by Johannes Roberts who also directed 47 Meters Down. It is about a family staying at a mobile home park which is visited by the three masked strangers. The second installment of the Strangers series is likely to gain more interest than the first film because the audience is thinking that the film will be more suspenseful than the first.
