“Future Nostalgia” by Dua Lipa

Although “Future Nostalgia” was released close to a year ago, Dua Lipa’s catchy lyrics and upbeat chords still get everyone on the dance floor. The album truly is nostalgic; several of the songs sound like they belong at a 70s disco party. The twelve track album features radio hits like “Break My Heart” and “Levitating,” as well as TikTok sensation “Don’t Start Now.” Some of the more underrated songs include “Hallucinate” – it’s repetitive chorus will be stuck in your head all day – and “Physical” (“Nothing on the planet compares to it”). Plus, the album has five Grammy nominations!

The Thousandth Floor by Katharine McGee

If you don’t want to take a trip down memory lane with Dua Lipa, then open up The Thousandth Floor, which takes place in the year 2118. Katharine McGee’s debut novel transports us to a glamorous, tech-savvy New York City, home to the one-of-a-kind thousandth story high Tower. But don’t let the Tower’s charming face fool you; it soon comes to light that the building’s elite teenagers are willing to do whatever it takes to get what they want. While Katherine McGee is best known for her bestselling book American Royals, you don’t want to miss her suspenseful and intriguing first novel.

The Wilds

TV shows offer a great escape from the real world, and The Wilds is no exception. Featuring an almost all-female cast, The Wilds follows the lives of nine teenage girls after their plane crashes, leaving them stranded on a deserted island. Unbeknownst to them, the girls are actually part of an elaborate social experiment designed to highlight the strengths of women. Flashing back between the past, present, and future, we learn more about each girl and the struggles they left behind before the plane crash. The Wilds is available on Amazon Prime.
