When is the homecoming dance and where is it being held?

The homecoming dance will be held on the Meridian football field on Saturday, October 2 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

What is the dress code?

The dress code for homecoming is semi-formal. This means you can wear whatever you feel more comfortable in, whether it is a short dress, a romper, a blazer, khaki pants, or a tie. Don’t be afraid to make a statement.

Where can I buy my dance tickets?

You can buy your ticket from MySchoolBucks for $20.00 until September 30. Tickets will not be available for purchase the day of the dance.

Do you need a date to go to homecoming?

You absolutely do not need a date to go! It is really common to attend the dance with a group of friends, so you shouldn’t be stressed if you don’t have a date.

Do I have to wear a mask?

Masks will be required for the entirety of the dance. The senior class SCA will hand out light-up LED masks to the first 500 attendees at the dance to match the “neon” theme.

What are the spirit days?

Monday is jersey day, Tuesday is tacky tourist day, Wednesday is America day, Thursday is neon day, and Friday is class colors day. (Freshmen are gray, sophomores are white, juniors are red, and seniors are black.)

What are Volleyall and Powderpuff? When are they?

Volleyall is when juniors and seniors play an intramural volleyball game against each other. Similarly, powderpuff is when juniors and seniors play an intramural flag football game against each other. Both games are after school on Wednesday, September 29. Volleyall will be at 1:00 p.m. and powderpuff will be at 3:00 p.m. Both events will be held at the football stadium.

What is the homecoming pep rally?

The pep rally is on Friday, October 1. Everyone is encouraged to wear their class colors (black for seniors, red for juniors, white for sophomores, and gray for freshmen). At the pep rally, different classes compete against each other in fun events, like a three-legged race and tug-of-war. All of the classes have their own banner with fun slogans to rally behind.
