Wild Tacoz  (7167 Lee Highway, Falls Church VA, 22046)

Wild Tacoz provides a unique taste of Spanish cuisine in Falls Church City. The owner, Teddy Koumarianos, learned to cook from his father who owned a restaurant named The Apollo. Koumarianos created the Kool Foods line of products, containing a variety of healthy ingredients. All of their foods are made by hand and they make sure to eliminate any canned or boxed products. They offer a variety of quesadillas, tacos, burritos and classic Spanish dishes. I especially love the fact that they have such a wide variety of toppings, so I am able to make unique combinations each time I go.

Mandy and Joe Neuman founded Sloppy Mama’s BBQ in 2014, located in Arlington. They began with catering weddings, including their own, and decided to extend their business after family and friends asked to have some pig roasts of their own. They bought a food truck, and soon after, they opened a restaurant on Lee Highway. Something that sets the Neumans apart is their aversion to gas stoves when cooking their meat. Instead, they opt to cook outside and use wood for heat and flavor. This family-run business takes simple American cuisine and makes it unique to them.

Anthony’s serves traditional family cooking and purchases their ingredients from other small family businesses. They have a vast selection, including Greek, Italian, and American favorites. Anthony’s takes pride in being a family run business, ensuring to create a comfortable atmosphere along with delicious dining.

Borek-G had its start by selling their food at local Farmers Markets. The owner was inspired by his mother’s home-style Turkish cooking. They shared their piece of Turkey for 13 years by selling their goods at the local farmer’s market. They opened their first restaurant in Falls Church City. Along with serving dishes, it would be better described as a cafe with Turkish groceries available to purchase; some of these unique materials are difficult to find in the common grocery stores. They serve breakfast, lunch, appetizers, dinner, and dessert. This traditional Turkish restaurant allows the option to purchase the materials for an individual to make the dishes they enjoy.
