On Feb. 14, the Meridian girls’ basketball team secured the Northwestern District Championship title and the first overall seed for the upcoming Region 3B tournament with a 55-20 win against William Monroe. The game, which moved the Mustangs’ record to 10-0 in the District and 21-1 overall, also served as the senior night for four players and four managers.
