Formal Friday was introduced to Meridian High School two years ago by HOA and journalism teacher Mr. Fay. Formal Fridays take place on the third Friday of each month, and students are encouraged to wear formal clothing to school. It was created as an attempt to encourage students to come to school in their best attire, rather than rolling out of bed and going to school in pajamas. For those who may not have a closet full of formal clothes, room 413 is a great place to stop by and rent ties and jewelry.
