They say that on average there are about seven people in the world that look like you. Even for such a small school, students have discovered that, surprisingly, many Mason teachers have their own celebrity look-alikes. The Lasso has matched some of your favorite teachers with their celebrity dopplegängers for this winter’s edition of Teacher-Celebrity Dopplegängers!
“Coach Dye looks a lot like Macklemore. The only explanation I can offer is that they are twins,” sophomore Mithi Penaranda said.
With the same hair style, similar skin complexion, and other similar facial features, all Coach Dye needs is a faux-fur coat from a Thrift Shop to rock Macklemore’s look.
“I call Mr. Lahy Jack Black, and he responds,” sophomore Shannon Rodgers said.
With similar hair, facial features, and an awesome personality, Mr. Lahy is basically the long lost twin of Dewey Finn from the 2003 comedy, School of Rock.
“Yeah, everyone calls me Jack Black,” Lahy said.
Most of you might know Eric Lange as Sikowitz from the hit Nickelodeon show “Victorious.”
If you have watched the show, you probably know Lange plays the role of a theatre teacher in a performing arts high school.
“Yeah, they both have male pattern baldness, and also the same attitude and craziness towards theatre,” sophomore Clare Doss said.
“Theatre teachers have the same kind of vibe, you know?” said sophomore Shannon Rodgers.
“Especially when nearing opening night, because Mr. Northrip doesn’t shave when it’s tech week for the musical,” sophomore Laura Duffett said.
“I get this one all the time,” said AP Government and International Relations teacher Ms, Eisenberg. “I guess we have the same nose, hair, and long face.”
“They look exactly the same,” senior Andrea Dilao said. “Anyone who takes her class would agree.”
The resemblances are uncanny, right? You won’t be able to look at these teachers again without connecting them to their dopplegängers.
