At George Mason, there are around 34 visual arts electives. These electives fit into three categories; music, arts, and technology. Out of the three, Arts is the most popular, with 197 kids, more than double the amount of kids taking a technology elective. Music electives are the second most popular out of the visual electives with around 121 kids. Many of these electives have only a few people because they require years of experience, for example IB Theater SL. These classes are ultimately combined with the lower level classes to ensure the amount of students in each block are balanced.
