“Pageant Material” by Kacey Musgraves

Kacey Musgraves’ second studio album, “Pageant Material,” is filled with down-to-Earth country music for all audiences. Songs like “Dime Store Cowgirl” and “This Town” focus on the aspects of living in a small town, while “High Time” and “Die Fun” encourage you to let go of your worries. My personal go-to’s on the album are “Biscuits,” and “Somebody to Love.” All of the songs on the album have impressive lyrical quality and great listenability. Musgraves’ wide musical range allows everyone to find a different song to put on repeat, even if you’re not a regular country music enthusiast.

“The Peanut Butter Falcon”

If you need a movie to brighten up your day, ‘The Peanut Butter Falcon” is the perfect choice. The story follows a man with down syndrome named Zak (Zack Gottsagen) who breaks out of his care facility to travel to North Carolina so that he can attend his favorite wrestling school. Tyler (Shia LaBeouf) and Eleanor (Dakota Johnson) join him on the journey to help him achieve his goal of becoming a professional wrestler. Though the crew faces many challenges, their teamwork and family-like relationships help them to keep pushing forward. This heart-warming movie is filled with laughs and action, and it never fails to put a smile on my face.

“Law and Order”

While many people love “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” the original “Law and Order” show will forever have my heart. The show takes place in New York and showcases the day-to-day crimes of the city, as well as the actions prosecutors take to put criminals behind bars. While this may not seem very different from other crime shows, it’s the stellar cast that really completes the show. Actors like Sam Waterson, S. Epatha Merkerson, Jerry Orbach, and countless others make the show an instant classic. With 456 episodes, “Law and Order” provides plenty of options for all sorts of viewers, so I highly encourage you to start binge-watching this masterpiece.
