We can all agree that being sick is the worst. And with winter arriving, colds grow more popular and spread easier. The best way to make a sick day much better is to watch a movie! Here’s a list to check out.

Documentary – The Social Dilemma

This one is definitely for documentary-lovers. This films covers the intricacies of social networking, and its intense impact on humans. The documentary includes tech experts warning people of the dangers that they themselves have created. It demonstrates how social media has a negative impact on everyone “hooked” on it. Find it on Netflix.

Horror – Sabrina

This movie is an Indonesian horror movie about a toy manufacturer and his wife who are being terrorized by a demon after their niece had tried to talk to her mother’s spirit by performing a ritual. Personally, this is one of my favorite horror movies – a great horror movie for when you are stuck at home with a fever. This movie is also on Netflix!

Family/Comedy – Are We There Yet?

“Are We There Yet?” is one of my favorite movies to watch while sick. The movie follows Nick who tries to win over a woman named Suzanne. To try to win her over, he offers to accompany her children on a flight from Portland to Canada. They end up getting banned from the flight, forcing Nick to drive the family to Canada. With the drive comes many crazy adventures. This comedy will bring you so much laughter, and will definitely make your sick day better. You can find this movie on many different services like Hulu (Premium Subscription) and YouTube ($3.99).

Kids Movie – Happy Feet

Many of us most likely watched this movie when we were younger. Often times on a sick day, a childhood comfort film brings a lot of joy. This movie is about a little emperor penguin named Mumble. Unlike the rest of the penguins, Mumble cannot sing. He can tap dance though! “Happy Feet” can be found on Hulu, HBO Max, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Google Play Movie and TV.

Romance – The Age of Adaline

Adaline Bowman, played by Blake Lively, has remained 29 years-old for eight decades. To keep her secret, she tries to not get too close to anyone, but she ends up falling in love and traveling to stay with her boyfriend’s parents for a weekend. Her boyfriend’s father turns out to be a past lover. (Harrison Ford!) The weekend with them almost exposes her secret. This romance movie will definitely keep you entertained while you are sick. You can find this movie on Hulu, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Google Play Movies and TV.
