What is Coin Wars?

Coin Wars is a fundraising event run by the SCA Executive Board where all grades participate against each other to see who can collect the most money and win a prize.

How does Coin Wars work?

Each grade puts in money in the form of coins and dollars. A penny is worth one point, nickels are five points, quarters are 25 points. You can place a dollar in a different grade’s bin to take away 100 points.

When and where will Coin Wars take place?

Coin Wars will take place from Monday, Dec. 13 to Thursday, Dec. 16 at the end of the day. The coins will be collected in large jugs, which are located on the Learning Stairs.

Where will the money go?

The proceeds being collected for Coin Wars will go towards the Falls Church Education Foundation Family Assistance Fund, which supports emergency food, shelter, and transportation needs of FCCPS families in need.

What is the winning prize for the winning grade?

The grade who ends up winning the competition will get a hot chocolate prize during choice workshop on Friday.

Should you participate in Coin Wars?

If you want to help your grade win some hot chocolate and the Falls Church Education Foundation Family Assistance Fund, then this is your chance to do so.
