This autumn season is a great time to cozy up and watch a good show! Unfortunately, picking a show often proves to be difficult, so we have compiled a list of our top five favorite fall shows for when you are stuck.

 

“Gilmore Girls”

“Gilmore Girls” is one of our absolute favorite TV shows (fall or not!). It’s about the relationship between Rory Gilmore and her mother, Lorelei Gilmore. The show opens when Rory is 16 and her mother is 32. Throughout the show, they grow and mature with each other, facing challenges in everyday life. They deal with many issues including family, boyfriends, school, work, and more. Their mother-daughter bond is unbreakable… mostly! With fun witty characters and a cozy setting of small-town life, this show is perfect for a fall binge-watch.

“The Vampire Diaries”

“Vampire Diaries” is a classic eerie show perfect for the fall season! It’s a healthy balance of drama, mystery, comedy, and romance. This show is very easy to get into, and once you start it you won’t be able to stop. Luckily, there are 8 seasons of it! “Vampire Diaries” is focused around a girl named Elena Gilbert who meets two vampire brothers, Stefan and Damon Salvatore. During the show, both brothers fall in love with Elena, creating a messy love triangle. Throughout the show, they face tons of ups and downs while making friends and enemies. With their friends, they create a powerful friend group of vampires, werewolves, and witches. This show will never fail to be a comfort show that is great entertainment when we are bored and looking for a scare.

 

“New Girl”

If you’re looking for a cheerful show to get you laughing, “New Girl” is a perfect choice! The show follows Jessica Day, a quirky student teacher who moves in with three fun-loving men. While the crew faces the ups and downs of young adulthood, they form a family-like bond to last a lifetime. The characters are sure to not only get you laughing but also warm your heart. Set in a cozy loft apartment, the setting makes you feel relaxed with a fall theme. With short twenty-minute episodes and seven seasons, the show is perfect for a binge on a rainy fall day.

“Friends

The hit TV show “Friends” has always been a popular cozy show. The show is set in Manhattan with six funny lovable characters; Phoebe, Chandler, Joey, Monica, Rachel, and Ross. The crew navigate every life occurrence together, helping each other along the way. “Friends” is a comedy TV show however it has many moments that will pull your heartstrings. The heartwarming bond between the characters will never fail to make you smile. The homey setting of Central Perk, the gang’s main hang-out spot, sets a fall spirit in your mind. This show has 10 seasons of entertainment for your enjoyment.

 

“Anne with an E”

“Anne with an E” is an old-timey show with a setting that fits the fall stereotype completely. The protagonist, Anne, is an orphan with a rough childhood who was mistakenly adopted by Marilla Cuthbert and her older brother Matthew Cuthbert. The siblings were looking for a boy to help on their farm, so when a stubborn ginger, quick-tempered girl showed up at the train station, Marilla and Matthew are quite surprised. Throughout the story, Anne goes through the troubles of being the new kid at school, trying to fit in, as well as navigating friends and family issues. “Anne with an E” is an excellent choice for this fall season.
