Over the last couple of years, thrifting has become quite popular due to widespread Tik Tok trends and a focus on the importance of shopping sustainability. Thrifting has become a great way to find fun and unique clothing and furniture, while also helping limit clothing waste. Additionally, it assists many in saving money while still offering affordable, nice, name-brand clothing options.

Luckily for us, Falls Church is home to many fantastic thrift stores, each holding many unique pieces and committed to reducing clothing waste. Here are a few thrift stores you should keep in mind while shopping this holiday season.

Unique, located just outside of Merrifield, is consistently jam-packed with clothing and other secondhand goods.

Unique

Unique is a thrift store chain located at 2956 Gallows Rd, Falls Church, VA which mainly sells second-hand clothing, books, and furniture. The store is essentially an enormous warehouse filled with countless steals; all sold at an affordable price. Unique is by far the most organized and largest store on this list. The women’s section is home to many high-end brands like Lululemon, Loft, and Zara, often sold at extremely affordable prices. Moreover, the men’s section is one of the best places to find vintage, high-quality jackets, and jeans with countless name brands such as Levis, Ralph Lauren, and Dickies. Additionally, the home goods section is a great spot to check out, containing great seasonal decor and classic pieces. Unique has a really diverse clothing section and is home to some amazing deals. This thrift store has something for everyone and should be on your radar when shopping this December.

The Local Thrift, although new to Falls Church, is filled with plenty of unique, vintage goods.

Local Thrift

The Local Thrift is located at 1049 W Broad St, Falls Church, and is a newer thrift store that occupies the old Halloween store space. Despite having a limited selection of clothing, it contains great vintage clothing pieces. The store is also equipped with a basement stacked with many unique and timeless pieces of furniture. The women’s section holds mainly jackets and dresses, while also showcasing a bunch of neat and unique accessories, while the men’s section has a limited assortment of jeans, and mainly holds men’s outerwear. For all your vintage clothing and furniture needs, this store is definitely worth a stop.

The Antique Annex

The Antique Annex is located at 250 W Broad St, Falls Church, and is one of our little city’s hidden gems. Although it mainly caters to antiques, it’s a very unique shop that holds many intriguing pieces. At the front of the store, you can find a trove of vintage books and posters. Moreover, during the holiday season, the front of the store is fully decked out with Christmas ornaments and unique decorations that give the store a very magical feel. While the thrift shop doesn’t have a clothing section, its jewelry section is to die for. They have tons of vintage pieces and a great selection of brands, like Tiffiny&CO, Chanel, and many more. The best part of this store is the assortment of knick-knacks and decorations they have around the store that you’ll struggle to find anywhere else. Despite the store prices being on the expensive side, their products are of higher quality and definitely earn them your business.
