The Super Bowl attracts much more than just avid sports fans. Every year, countless people who would rather have a good laugh than keep track of the scores watch it simply for the commercials. These commercials have built up a reputation of creativity and humor, but this year, many of their jokes fell flat. Despite 2016’s disappointing selection of ads, there were a few that stood out and carried us through the game.

1. Cyprus Air, “Why Buy a Gas Fireplace”

I would buy 5,000 gas fireplaces if it meant I could watch this commercial again. When I grow up I want to be Joe Jacoby.

2. Honda, “A New Truck to Love”

This was perfect. In every way.

3. Mountain Dew, “Puppymonkeybaby”

Say what you will about illegal genetic experimentation, but bless its soul for bringing us puppymonkeybaby.

4. Avocados From Mexico, “#AvosinSpace”

The accuracy is unreal.

5. Skittles, “The Portrait”

Honorable Mention: Michael and Son Jingle with Mike Tyson

This was incredibly adorable and if the cuteness of Mike Tyson didn’t make you want to cry, you obviously have no heart.
