On Wed 11, the Mustangs trampled the Liberty High School Eagles by a score of 45-36 at home. The first quarter began frantically, with both sides acclimating themselves to the speed of the game. As the game progressed, solid defense was Meridian’s best attribute as they pulled ahead on the scoreboard. Offensively, the Mustangs moved the ball well on the outside, waiting for the right moment to drive the basket. The vast majority of the Mustang’s points came from strong efforts within the paint. With only one more game remaining in the regular season, the team will look on to regionals.
